Why I Love My Comfort Zone?
I love my comfort zone because that’s where I get things done. When I stay in my comfort zone, I naturally feel like doing things for both my personal and professional life. When I stay in my comfort zone and do things the way my mind and body want, I feel active, my thoughts become more clear, and I know what to do next. I hear people say get out of your comfort zone all the time, but that advice never worked for me. Not every human is built the same way, so doing what works for others never worked for me.
For me, comfort zone doesn’t mean doing nothing or avoiding effort. It means choosing ways that feel natural to me, like working from home, keeping my expenses low, not traveling just to prove something, not buying unnecessary things, not dating people just for dating, not forcing life choices like marriage or kids, not running after seminars, networking, or trying to read 100 books, most importantly, focusing on my ideas, and many other things. I stopped chasing trends and stopped worrying about missing out, though sometimes I love that fear of missing out, but I will write about that later. I was tired of comparing my life with others and copying what they were doing, thinking it would work for me. But then I saw most people were forcing it and faking it, even though they wanted their own comfort zone too. That’s when I realized I didn’t want to fake anymore, so I decided to stay in my comfort zone and be productive instead of copying others and feeling unsatisfied.
I just want to brag a little more ;). I don’t like driving, so I don’t drive. I don’t like swimming, so I don’t swim. I don’t like dancing, so I don’t dance. But I like cooking, so I cook all the time, and my life is still running just fine. When I stopped forcing myself and worked my own way, I got things done sooner or later. My results may get delayed or may look different, but they come from my comfort zone.
