I Changed Because You Changed artwork shows a relationship where one person remains the same, while the other changes and brings new ways of living and thinking, which the first person cannot accept, and over time this imbalance forces change on both. This artwork comes from my relationship and what I lived through over time. She kept changing year after year, her lifestyle, her priorities, the way she saw life. I stayed the same. I was consistent in who I was, the way I loved, and the way I lived. She knew this from the beginning and accepted me as I was. The dark background shows the bond we once shared and the life we planned together. The sky blue energy circle shows how she changed year by year, in ways I could clearly see. The yellow energy circle represents me. I stayed the same for a long time, but as her life and choices changed, I had to change too. Not to survive, but to take control of my own life and direction.
